This graph is not too encouraging. It shows Americans’ personal income is more and more dependent on Government Transfer Payments. This share has grown very rapidly since the crisis started, but the upward long-term trend seems to be clear. Clusterstock’s analysts attribute this to demographic factors, the ageing of the American population. So, more problems to come on Social Security.
