Death to bad computer software; international stories ignored by the international press

I am about to fly to Madrid and beat Libertad Digital's computer system over the head. It's this piece of crap called Backoffice, and it has eaten three consecutive posts. I hate the damn thing. Blogger is much better.

I was going to write all about these major international issues affecting Spain that we have been covering in the Spain Herald that have received little or no coverage in the American press: 1) The wave of black African illegal immigrants showing up in the Canary Islands: 1000 dead at sea since January 1. 2) The Polisario Front's threat to resume violence in the Western Sahara; Morocco's repression in that country. 3) The upcoming nationalization of international property in Bolivia by Evo Morales's government, which will affect Spanish energy company Repsol. 4) The expropriation of farms and ranches belonging to foreigners, including Spaniards, under Hugo Chavez's rule in Venezuela. 5) The repression of non-violent democratic dissidents in Cuba, where more than 300 are imprisoned, and the Zapatero administration's failure to support diplomatic sanctions against Castro. 6) The withdrawal of Spanish peacekeeping troops from the UN mission in Haiti. 7) Spanish participation in peacekeeping and reconstruction in Afghanistan; Spain has been given a quiet but very poor area near Herat to work in. I'll get back to them one by one after I take this damn computer program back outside the barn and shoot it.
