You have to be careful

I stand by what I said about the PP's mistaken efforts to cast doubt on the March 11 investigation. I agree with the PP on most issues--not all, but most--and in this case I am confident that I am right. The evidence is overwhelming, and the fact that there are a few loose ends does not mean that the official story is wrong. I mean, now we know for sure that Oswald shot Kennedy, but we're still not sure whether Oswald hit him with his first and third shots, or with the second and third. And there is film of this, and hundreds of eyewitnesses. There's only so much that the investigators can determine.

What everyone seems to be forgetting is that the Aznar administration did not leave office until two months after the March 14, 2004 election, and the great majority of the police and prosecutorial work that made the case was carried out under PP supervision. Questioning that work is questioning your own cabinet ministers, not to mention the cops, the prosecutors, and the courts, whom we all agree are neutral according to the established rules of government.

The error that the PP is making is calling the entire democratic system into question, which they are doing. Check Libertad Digital or the Spain Herald if you don't believe me. They are questioning the legitimacy of the elected government, the honesty of the police, the neutrality of the courts.

You don't do this in a mature democracy, which Spain will not be until the Civil War has passed from living memory. You have to be careful. The current leaders of the People's Party are not being careful.
